SFDA framework
The
Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulates the
import and distribution of beverages in KSA Sezione overview Sito NEXT Proof.docx. SFDA registration is required only when a product is actually imported and commercially distributed, and it is always done through a
local partner (Saudi importer or distributor), not directly with foreign producers.
Exhibiting at NextProof
To exhibit at NextProof,
no prior SFDA registration is required. Within the framework of the fair, exhibitors can:
- bring non-sale samples in limited quantities
- distribute promotional materials
- organize controlled tastings, subject to organizer authorization and local regulations
NextProof enables brands to meet
importers and distributors from Saudi Arabia and the GCC, run
market tests and B2B meetings with qualified buyers, and start preparing technical dossiers, lab analyses and
KSA-ready labels in view of a future SFDA registration once a commercial agreement is in place. This

After the fair
If a Saudi importer or distributor decides to work with a product, the importer:
- initiates the SFDA registration process
- bears the related costs and procedures
- connects the product to a defined distribution channel in the Kingdom

- to exhibit at NextProof: no SFDA registration and no mandatory Halal certification are required
- to commercialize in KSA after the fair: SFDA registration is required and managed by the local partner
